How to make sure TSA PreCheck is on boarding pass Alaska airlines? ›

On the day of your flight:

If cleared, a PreCheck symbol will be visible on your boarding pass, and your PreCheck eligibility is embedded into the boarding pass barcode.

The fastest and easiest way to enroll in TSA PreCheck® is to start the application online. You do not need to get TSA PreCheck® if you already have Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, or hold an active TWIC® or Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an HME.

The Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® credit card also doesn't come with a credit of up to $100 that you can use for the TSA PreCheck or Global Entry application fee. While there are many other airline cards that don't offer this feature, it's becoming increasingly common among more versatile travel cards.

Some airlines allow you to add TSA PreCheck® after checking in for your flight, although you may need to call the airline or get a new boarding pass. Contact your airline for more information. Does everyone on the same reservation get TSA PreCheck®? Not necessarily.

With TSA PreCheck™, you can breeze through airport security. Best part, children 12 and under can accompany a parent or guardian who has TSA PreCheck™ on their boarding pass. Applicants may be ineligible due to incomplete or false application information, certain violations of federal security regulations, or disqualifying criminal offenses and factors. Global Entry, NEXUS, and SENTRI allow some foreign citizens to apply.

Participating airlines display a TSA PreCheck® indicator directly on your boarding pass if you are eligible for TSA PreCheck based on your provided Known Traveler Number (KTN). Please ensure you add your KTN to your airline reservation while booking the reservation.

Visit the TSA PreCheck website and click on the "Check Status" button. Enter your full name, date of birth and passport number or your Known Traveler Number (KTN). Review your TSA PreCheck status. You'll know your membership is active if the website displays your current status, expiration date and KTN (if applicable).

TSA PreCheck requires the participation of the airline. If your airline doesn't participate, you can't use it. Why can't I use the TSA Pre✓® lanes when traveling on any airline? Passengers must be traveling on an airline that has entered into a partnership with TSA.

Have your boarding pass on your mobile device? It's important to remember that the TSA officer cannot accept a printed version of a mobile boarding pass because the technology doesn't recognize it. A mobile boarding pass must be on the phone.
